Asking for Business
The best marketing strategy ever – CARE!
~ Gary Vaynerchuk
So you’ve figured out how to quickly introduce yourself and your business to others; now you need to make sure you are asking for business!
People need to know that you actually want them to send you clients.
When you run your own business, make sure that you always have your business cards handy because you never know when the opportunity may show up to educate people about the work you do. And the more people who know about you, the more people will refer to you.
It isn’t about pushing your business cards into people’s hands but instead, it’s more about having a real interaction with someone. If the conversation turns towards what you do, make sure you capitalize on the opportunity. Let people know that you are accepting new clients, and if they know of anyone that might be interested, they can contact you with the details on the card.
Get comfortable with the following phrase:
I’m accepting new clients, so if you know of anyone that might be a good fit, please invite them to get in touch.
